Vote YES on the CFBISD TRE

TRE Tax Ratification Election logo

PTA believes adequately financing our public schools is necessary to ensure a quality education for each student.

At a Special Meeting on August 18th, the Carrollton-Farmers Branch ISD Trustees approved placing a Tax Ratification Election (TRE) on the November 8th ballot.

What will the additional funds be used for?
Voter approval of this tax ratification election will generate approximately $17 million which will be used for:
– Reducing class sizes
– Technology upgrades
– Compensation for our teachers
– Other instructional program expansions and enhancements

If it passes, how will the TRE affect my home taxes?
How much will my taxes increase?
The increase would be 11 cents per every $100 in property value. – for a homeowner whose house has a taxable value of $200,000, the rate increase equates to an additional $220 per year tax rate.

In other words, CFBISD NEEDS THE TRE!
